Try to imagine: You're free from school,
all around you is green rolling serenity and azure skies,
and a few strides from your bunk is a studio packed with watercolors,
pastels, tempera, charcoal, ink, paper, canvas, and the other
necessities for 2-dimensional art. What do you think you will
do? Play basketball? Yes. Water-ski? Sure. But very often
you will find yourself re-creating the beauty inside you and
around you during this summer of peace, joy, friendship, and
natural inspiration.
Wait! We got so carried away, we forgot to tell you about
our 3-D Art program. So really briefly: Ceramics, Junk Art,
Puppetry, Mosaics, Paper Mache, Silkscreen, Stone Sculpture,
Stained Glass, Jewelry, Clay Sculpture, Candlemaking, Tie
Dye/Batik, Paper-Making, etc. Our art studios stock a wealth
of media and the instructors and supplies needed for campers
to express their vision: to make tangible what is beautiful,
useful, or important to them. When all is said and done, this
is what ILC is about for administration, staff, and campers:
making visions happen. |
