You gotta love a kid who knows where
she's going. Miles and miles of off-road tracks through
the woods. The Go-Karting track itself is huge, with banked
turns, straightaways and hair-pin curves. Campers only go
off-road after mastering the track, and for them
we have a fleet of 15 specialized off-road carts. On- or off-track,
wearing our safety gear - helmets, gloves, goggles and shoes
- is mandatory. There is even a period each day reserved for
girls (not to get too professional about it, but this turned
out to be a brilliant socio-psychologico-Independent Lake
Camp decision). Before our campers can even smell
the wheel, much less get behind it, they are taught about
the different color flags and the rules of the track. Anecdotal
evidence shows this is great training for when they get their
- aaaarrrrgggghhhh!! - real licenses. |
