With counselors and campers from four
continents and diverse regions and walks of life,
every brand of music is heard and shared at ILC. Whether it
be a Prime or Daily in Music Shop, private lessons or group
jamming, the MTV top ten or, yes, Bach, music is a major ingredient
of what makes each day here a joy. (Nigel, I do not believe
you picked the photo of The Wolf Gang. The father is suing
us just on account of his son's hair.)
Fully-equipped studio for learning and playing Rock, Folk,
Heavy Metal, R&B, Jazz, Punk, Ska, etc. Individual lessons
are available in guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, and more.
(Please tell us your child's musical instruction needs in
advance.) Weekly performances (by campers who wish to perform),
on and off campus.
A cappella means singing without instrumental
back-up. The voice harmonies are so rich and complex,
nobody misses the pianist. Achieving this sound takes training,
rehearsal, good listening skills, concentration, and cooperation,
making a cappella an activity that sharpens us as
learners, performers, soloists, and team players. It has become
a favorite activity at ILC, probably because the whole is
greater than the sum of its parts, so even the newest young
singer can produce a grand sound. |
