The Art Department is the heart and soul of ILC. A place where any artist, any size, at any level can come to “Make Cool Stuff”!
We are the perfect meeting place between creative exploration and formal fine arts. Our facility includes a ceramic studio with 2 kilns and 5 wheels to learn to throw on, a photography program with a darkroom, and a stained glass facility. We also have art making in a multitude of mediums to whet any artists appetite… including, but not limited to: drawing, painting, abstract art, cartooning, anime, candle making, jewelry, fimo, sculpture, recycled journals, watercolors, portrait painting, environmental sculpture, puppetry, recycled fashion, knitting, crocheting, junk art, tie-dye, papier-mâché, plasterwork and graffiti.
